or 5Mbyte ram minimum and No VRAM.

STARTING THE GAME:
-----------------
Click on !SC2000 to start up the game.

This game uses different single-tasking windows, as used by other versions ofSimCity 2000, so to be fully compatible across all hardware systems,
(EG: ACORN, APPLE, IBM etc) all work identically.

The Menu Bar is at the top of the screen, click and hold on the required
menu text and a sub-box will open underneath, move down to the required item, and release the mouse button, this item will then be activated.
Any keyboard shortcuts to activate the item are shown at the side of the
item's name. To return to the desktop, activate 'QUIT' on the file menu.

SAVING GAMES:
------------
On selection of 'LOAD CITY' or 'SAVE CITY AS', a dialogue box will open, the
right hand side of this box will contain a list of paths you can use to save the game to. Four of these paths are directories contained within the
!SC2000 application. The fifth is the path 'ADFS::0' which allows you to
Load and Save from floppy disc. This includes Cities saved from the PC
version of the game. So if your friend has the PC version of SimCity 2000
you can load in his cities, or if you save your City to a PC format disc, he can load in yours.

An extra path is available if you set up a system variable called SC$Path to
point to a valid RISCOS path, this path only appears if set, and allows you
to save to other media not directly catered for (EG: RAMDISC, NETWORKS etc).
A suitable place to set up this path is in the '!Run' file of the !SC2000
application directory. For example, to set the variable to save to RAMDISC,
use the command:

                *SET SC$PATH RAM::RamDisc0.$.

Clicking on SC$PATH in the path list will then allow games to be saved to
Ramdisc.

The City name and filename are mutually exclusive, the file name is the name
used on the disc and must be a valid RISCOS filename. The City name is a
name you give to the city. When saving the City, you have the option to
change the city name, ad this is the only place where the city name can be
changed. If you change the path, the City name defaults to '???' and you willhave to enter a City name of your choice, and a new RISCOS filename to save
the city as.

If you are saving and you click on a file that already exists in the list of files, your city will be saved as that name, and an overwrite warning box
will be issued, as the file already exists.

See the RISCOS addendum sheet for further details.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
----------------------
The main Sim City Manual, as supplied with the game, has all the details of
the window buttons, selections and options, everything is fully documented
there.

One last point, SimCity 2000 has the facility to load and convert old SimCityfiles, as generated by the original SimCity game, which is also available
from Krisalis for all the Acorn range of computers. Please keep a backup of
the old files, as they will be converted to Simcity 2000 format, and when
they are saved again, they cannot be loaded by the original game.
It is therefore suggested that you copy 'Classic' city files onto a seperate
floppy disc and load them from the path 'ADFS::0', and then save them
elsewhere.

SPECIAL NOTE:
------------
An Acorn A5000 version should be available in November 1994, for owners of
that system.
This version will require a MultiScan or VGA monitor capable of displaying
640 by 480 pixels in 256 colours (EG: MODE 28) and will also require 4MBytes
of Ram.

PLEASE NOTE:
-----------
SimCity 2000 is an American product, therefore some of the text contained
within the game itself, will be Americanised.
